About The Position

At OnSpot Dermatology, we're redefining how patients access dermatology care. Through our state-of-the-art mobile medical clinics and our Downtown Orlando office, we provide convenient, high-quality dermatologic care where and when patients need it. Our services include skin cancer screenings, biopsies, surgical procedures, and Mohs surgery. By combining innovation, compassion, and accessibility, we make expert skin care available to communities, workplaces, and patients throughout Central Florida. We are looking for a Medical Assistant who is passionate about making a difference. As part of our dermatology team, you'll work alongside providers in both our mobile clinics and Downtown Orlando office, delivering exceptional patient care and supporting a variety of medical and surgical dermatology services. Requirements

  • Certified and/or experienced Medical Assistant (Surgical or Dermatology background preferred)
  • Knowledge of Mohs procedures is a plus
  • Experience with EMA/Modernizing Medicine strongly preferred (training available for the right candidate)
  • Team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Dependable, flexible, and motivated to support our mission of creating a patient experience like no other
  • Willingness to work in both a traditional office setting and our mobile clinic environment

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients, take medical histories, and prepare them for exams
  • Scribe for providers and update electronic medical records (EMA/Modernizing Medicine)
  • Assist during Mohs procedures, excisions, and minor surgeries
  • Label, process, and prepare specimens for the lab
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate patient care
  • Support providers during additional testing and procedures
  • Ensure patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for
  • Occasionally take on duties outside of standard MA tasks to support team operations
