About The Position

This role involves preparing and positioning patients for diagnostic imaging, explaining procedures to reduce anxiety and gain cooperation, and practicing radiation protection techniques. The position also includes preparing images for the Radiologist, assisting with Medical Assistant duties to ensure patient flow, and completing training to become certified by the Department of Transportation for Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests. The role requires proposing improvements to processes and workflows and working autonomously within established procedures.

Requirements

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years in healthcare leadership experience
• Current CRT certificate
• Current CPR- BLS
• Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or have an equivalent Radiologic Technology credentialing agency

• May act as a lead, coordinating and facilitating the work of others, but is not a supervisor

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging

• Prepare images for reading by Radiologist
• Assist with Medical Assistant duties to ensure optimal patient flow
• Attend staff and departmental meetings
• Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests
• Proposes improvements to processes and workflows
• Works autonomously within established procedures and practices
