About The Position

As a professional and patient-focused Medical Assistant Supervisor, you will lead patient support, coordinate medical operations, and ensure smooth clinic workflow. The role requires strong leadership, organizational, and clinical support skills. The supervisor must balance operational efficiency with high standards of patient care and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of medical office experience in clinical support, medical support, or related fields preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other productivity software; familiarity with medical documentation systems
  • Professionalism, empathy, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Meets expectations of the core competencies: communication, customer service, ethical and legal requirements, infection control, medical office procedures, and safety
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs; prolonged sitting/standing and walking long distances
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Other duties as assigned

Nice To Haves

  • medical running or EMR experience is a plus
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or BLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead, Supervise, and Evaluate the MA Team: Deploy training, retraining, and skills assessment to maintain required performance of all MA’s
  • Facilitate team meetings and communicate changes in procedures or policies
  • Increase employee motivation, retention, and engagement by providing ongoing coaching; promote teamwork within and outside of the clinical area
  • Function as the troubleshooter regarding daily clinical support staff issues and proactively establish lasting change and procedures to prevent future issues
  • Assist with scheduling patient appointments, answering phones, keeping providers informed of changes, and informing patients of their benefits
  • Assist providers with basic medical care and procedures, manage patient charts, and prepare for visits by pulling notes and setting up equipment
  • Stock and maintain medical and office supplies in patient rooms and other clinic areas
  • Set up, test, and maintain medical equipment; clean and sanitize instruments and rooms
  • Track lab results, call in prescriptions, handle basic office tasks, and maintain confidential patient information
  • Protect patient rights by maintaining strict confidentiality of medical records
  • Ensure the observance of policies, procedures, and safety practices, including OSHA and HIPAA regulations
