Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program or applicable experience as outlined in the job description
  • Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
  • Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NRCMA, or equivalent)
  • Experience that meets senior-level expectations (we are flexible and will consider candidates whose background aligns with the scope and leadership responsibilities of the role)

Responsibilities

  • Delivering direct patient care in an ambulatory setting
  • Assisting providers during exams and procedures
  • Collecting and documenting patient information in the electronic medical record
  • Administering approved medications and treatments per provider orders
  • Supporting patient education and care coordination
  • Acting as a liaison for scheduling specialty testing or consultations
  • Participating in quality initiatives and process improvement efforts
  • Supporting orientation, training, and ongoing development of Medical Assistants
  • Serving as a preceptor and clinical role model
  • Collaborating closely with providers, leadership, and administrative teams
