About The Position

Community Health Centers of America (CHCA), a nonprofit organization providing healthcare services to underserved communities, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant Site Supervisor for its community health clinic in Turlock. The role supervises the clinical team of Medical Assistants and supports clinic operations, provider needs, patient care, quality, and safety. The ideal candidate is an energetic, knowledgeable clinic professional with strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in clinic management and team development, who contributes to a warm, respectful, and professional environment.

Requirements

At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a clinic setting.
At least 4 years of Medical Assistant experience in a family practice or multispecialty clinic setting.
Medical Assistant certification.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

Fluent Spanish bilingual skills preferred.
College education preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise the clinical team of Medical Assistants, including assigning work, training and development, and performance management.
Track and report clinic metrics and performance.
Implement programs to improve performance.
Build positive relationships with site providers and ensure they have the support needed to optimize patient care.
Ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
Address patient grievances and report them to management.
Coordinate regular inventory, the vaccination management program, and other clinic operational needs.
Deescalate and resolve conflict in the clinic.
Be fully trained to cover for absent staff as needed.
