This is a full-time position for a Medical Assistant Resource Team. The role involves adhering to the Medical Assistant scope of practice, following all policies and procedures, and maintaining training and competency. Responsibilities include performing rooming/visit tasks such as vital signs, medication reconciliation, medical history, health maintenance, allergy review, and screenings. The Medical Assistant will also assist providers with procedures, perform lab-related duties including venipuncture and specimen collection, and conduct Point of Care testing. Administering medications and vaccines safely, completing CLIA-approved waived laboratory tests, and performing other duties such as medication refills, insurance authorizations, and patient messaging are also key aspects of the role. The position requires cross-training for duties relevant to specialty or clinic practice, demonstrating effective communication and teamwork, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked work environment. The Medical Assistant must possess the knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care, understanding growth and development principles.
