Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Medical Assistant – Registered , you will assist our medical and nursing staff by performing essential clerical and clinical support tasks so our patients can experience a smooth, supportive, and efficient healthcare journey, and our providers can deliver optimal care. Your work directly contributes to a healing environment for all. Every day, you will comfortably greet and room patients, prepare them for their visits, and accurately gather and document their medical histories. You will be expected to coordinate and manage schedules for both patients and providers with precision and empathy, facilitate seamless patient flow throughout the clinic, and work collaboratively with the entire care team to support our shared mission.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 6 months experience in a medical office/clinic or graduation from an accredited Medical Administrative Assistant, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant Program.
  • Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) through the State of Washington, sponsored by Virginia Mason, required within 60 days of hire.
  • BLS-RQI
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Professional demeanor with a positive, upbeat attitude, strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal communications.
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task.
  • Capable to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrative and clinical staff, leaders, patients and physicians
