Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CMA (certified medical assistant) certification required from a national testing agency (NHA, NCCT, AAMA, NAHP etc.)
- BLS CPR certification required
Nice To Haves
- Assisting in a clinic for 2 years or more preferred
- Oncology clinic experience highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist Registered Nurse/Radiation Oncologist with daily clinic responsibilities.
- Obtain patient medical information from various medical facilities and the patient to ensure a complete and accurate medical record.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments for special procedures and other testing.
- Obtain vital signs and complete nursing assessments for all patient visits.
- Obtaining Vital Signs/completing Nursing Assessments
- Scheduling/Coordinating appointments
- Collecting medical records for scheduled appointments
- Performs medical record scanning
- Other Duties as Assigned
