Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CMA (certified medical assistant) certification required from a national testing agency (NHA, NCCT, AAMA, NAHP etc.)
  • BLS CPR certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Assisting in a clinic for 2 years or more preferred
  • Oncology clinic experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist Registered Nurse/Radiation Oncologist with daily clinic responsibilities.
  • Obtain patient medical information from various medical facilities and the patient to ensure a complete and accurate medical record.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments for special procedures and other testing.
  • Obtain vital signs and complete nursing assessments for all patient visits.
  • Obtaining Vital Signs/completing Nursing Assessments
  • Scheduling/Coordinating appointments
  • Collecting medical records for scheduled appointments
  • Performs medical record scanning
  • Other Duties as Assigned
