About The Position

Toledo Clinic is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to work in a busy Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Department located in Sylvania OH with several satellite offices. The hours are Monday-Friday (8-5). This role involves a rotation of front office and clinical duties to ensure smooth patient flow. This position will require some travel to other offices located in Wauseon, Napoleon, Maumee and Toledo.

Requirements

• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA) or Licensed LPN in OH
• Medical Assisting Degree/Diploma or LPN Degree/Diploma.

Nice To Haves

• Previous clinical and administrative experience in a medical office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for physician(s), and performs various clerical duties.
• Manage patient scheduling, handle incoming calls, and perform check-in/check out procedures.
• Assist Drs. with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
• Various clerical duties. Patient check in and check out. Answer incoming calls. Manage patient scheduling.
• Escorting patients to exam room.
• Preparing exam rooms.
• Preparing patient for Drs. (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
• Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
• At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
• Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
• Follow up with lab work and/or xrays.
• Administering injections.
• Other duties as assigned.
