About The Position

Fortis Institute in Lawrenceville NJ is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Program Director for the Medical Assisting program. Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma.
• An associate degree is required, preferably in Medical Assisting but Allied Health or a similar field will be acceptable.
• Certifications: CCMA and/or CMA and/or RMA.
• Expertise in interpersonal and verbal presentation/written communication skills.
• Ability to provide effective direction and leadership, and work effectively and collaboratively with others.
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
• Prior postsecondary-related teaching experience of at least 2 years.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor degree in Allied Health or a similar field is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Medical Assisting program using sound business principles.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and company policies and procedures.
• Teach in the assigned discipline.
• Work with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction within the assigned program(s).
• Serve as the lead administrator for the department.
• Oversee faculty training and development.
• Coordinate and administer the academic program(s).
• Manage student outcomes and activities within the department.
