About The Position
BHMG Urgent Care Fern Valley Rd. PRN MA Duties include: check in patients, obtaining vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, temperature) and medication reconciliation, patient medical history information, expediting patient flow, stocking clinic with supplies, navigating electronic health record system (EPIC), checking for prior authorizations and scheduling tests, procedures and consultations. May also perform other procedures such as EKG, phlebotomy, lab tests and injections.
Requirements
- Competencies will be assessed upon hire
- High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency
- Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information
- Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate to be received within 90 days
- Prior working experience in a medical office/clinic performing clinical MA duties
- Certified MA from the National Health Career Association (NHA)
- Completed any MA education program, but has not received certification as of yet
