About The Position

Southwest Care Center is currently seeking a full-time Primary Care Medical Assistant working in our Santa Fe Clinic. Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the Medical Assistant is a critical member of the team. MA interactions with patients set the tone of each visit, create satisfaction, and support positive outcomes. Requirements

High School or GED Diploma
Two years direct experience as a Medical Assistant in a Primary Care position preferred
Certification (CCMA, CMA) Preferred
Basic Life Support Certification Preferred

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care within the MA's scope of practice as directed by the provider/RN/LPN.
Assist provider/RN/LPN in the coordination of patient care
Manages data and prepares reports for supervisors of Southwest CARE Center.
Perform regular clinical maintenance duties.
Travel as needed to the various SCC clinics
Competency in the use and maintenance of biomedical equipment and point-of-care testing.
Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of patient care
