About The Position

At Clinical Associates, we make being healthy easier. We connect our patients to a seamless system of integrated medical care, which includes in-specialists in areas of practice, from cardiology to podiatry. We also offer unique services like our ambulatory surgery center and nuclear stress testing facility. We are seeking to add an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our Podiatry department! Our ideal candidate must be willing to work in a team environment and provide excellent care and service to our patients. Travel is mandatory and required to accompany our Podiatrist to all three of our office locations. The Medical Assistant will work closely with our Podiatrist in a multi-specialty setting. Full Time candidates with proven EHR experience will have hands-on responsibilities with patients in a healthcare setting that offers enrichment and an opportunity for growth. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing a positive, supportive, nurturing, yet professional experience whether triaging calls, rooming patients and assisting during office visits, or providing follow-up to patients and/or families.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Current registration/certification with an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Excellent patient care and customer service skills.
  • EMR experience- Nextgen is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to hear and to speak standard English clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent written communication skills with ability to read, write and spell standard English clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to interact effectively with culturally diverse patients, practitioners, and employee population.
  • Ability to convey a positive attitude and project a professional image.
  • Ability to remain flexible and maintain confidentiality.
  • Possesses excellent time management skills.
  • Requires lengthy periods of sitting, intermittent standing, reaching, and bending.
  • Must have reliable transportation in order to fulfill the travel requirements of this position.
  • Candidates selected for an interview will be required to take a medical skill assessment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in podiatry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assistance during routine exams
  • Taking x-rays of the feet
  • Dispensing DME
  • Recording a patient history and logging vital signs.
  • Obtaining and tracking authorizations and test results
  • Entering lab / diagnostic test orders
  • Scheduling appointments, procedures, or imaging
