About The Position

Join our remarkable team as we work together to provide the best care experience to our patients, families and the communities we serve. We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our UW Health podiatry team as they evaluate and treat a variety of foot ailments including foot and heel pain, heel spurs, hammer toes, bunions, corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, plantar warts, plantar fasciitis, arthritis and tendinitis. Provide the highest quality of care in a compassionate, respectful, patient-family centered environment. Promote wellness and healthy lifestyles.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or
• Licensure as an LPN or
• Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or
• Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee or
• Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated or
• One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification
• Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required or
• Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required
• If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification Upon Hire Required
• CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN
