About The Position

The Medical Assistant – Phlebotomy provides support to patients and co-workers by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks in different areas of the health center. This role involves performing back-office responsibilities, rooming patients, stocking rooms, phlebotomy, administering injections, handling labs, patient education, and assisting Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and Medical Doctors. The position requires providing non-judgmental, client-oriented care, answering questions accurately, and offering appropriate resources. Additionally, the role assists in optimizing patient flow to maintain appointment schedules, establishes and prepares documents for patient records, and provides excellent customer service in all interactions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • National Medical Assistant Phlebotomy Certification

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years in a healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications
  • Experience with electronic health records
