About The Position

The Medical Assistant – Phlebotomy provides support to patients and co-workers by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks in different areas of the health center. This role involves performing back-office responsibilities, rooming patients, stocking rooms, phlebotomy, administering injections, handling labs, patient education, and assisting Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and Doctors. The position requires providing non-judgmental, client-oriented care, answering questions, and offering appropriate resources. Additionally, the role assists with optimizing patient flow, preparing patient records, and delivering excellent customer service in all interactions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrating a high degree of professionalism and ability to maintain client confidentiality

Nice To Haves

  • National Medical Assistant Phlebotomy Certification
  • 1-2 years in a healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications
  • Experience with electronics health records
