Under the supervision and direction of the Health Center Manager, provides support to patients and co-workers by performing, with accuracy and timeliness, a variety of clinical and administrative tasks in different areas of the health center.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent plus one to two years’ experience in a medical setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients by responding to requests and coordinating services from appropriate personnel or departments as needed.
- Establish and prepare documents for patient records and patient services; completes patient insurance information and enters visit data into PPGNHAIK systems.
- Provide non-judgmental, client-centered care, and provide accurate information by answering questions and providing appropriate resources.
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge of birth control methods and reproductive health services to provide patient education.
- Provide Planned Parenthood Patient Education Sheets, (PES) and Informed Consent Forms, (ICF) Client and offers Planned Parenthood services or community resources for identified patient needs.
- Provide patients and co-workers with excellent customer service in all interactions and tasks.
- Utilize service recovery when appropriate and seeks assistance from co-workers or the health center manager to ensure resolution.
- Perform all lab tests, collection, and packaging of lab specimens in compliance with agency, lab, and state policy and procedure.
