Medical Assistant Phlebotomist - Community Care PRN
About The Position
This position is an excellent opportunity for someone with both Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist experience. The role will perform Medical Assistant duties 90% of the time and Phlebotomist duties 10% of the time. The incumbent must be willing to float between different clinics in the Kansas City area. The position requires a commitment to one 12-hour shift per week and one weekend shift per month, plus one holiday shift per year. The role is responsible for assisting providers and the nursing team in delivering professional medical care. Specific duties include pre-visit planning, rooming patients, obtaining vitals, utilizing the EMR system, scanning and downloading documents, administering injections, vaccine coordination, telephone screening (with protocols), phlebotomy, assisting with procedures as needed, and other duties as assigned based on clinic needs. The incumbent must possess excellent customer service skills and maintain a professional demeanor at all times. This role may also involve covering front office duties as needed.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Medical Assistant (Certified) - Various
Responsibilities
