About The Position

MaxHealth is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist for its Cortez Road location in the Sarasota/Bradenton area. The position focuses mostly on phlebotomy and includes a range of front- and back-office medical tasks, including patient care, preparing rooms, assisting physicians, and front-desk duties. The starting salary is $20.00 per hour, with compensation depending on experience. The Medical Assistant greets and triages patients, prepares examination and procedure rooms, obtains patient histories and vital signs, and records height and weight. The role also assists with examinations, procedures, and treatments; schedules appointments and procedures; and manages documents such as pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results. Requirements

At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Computer literacy, including experience using EMR/EHR systems.
Computer proficiency.
Previous experience with medical records.

Responsibilities

Oversee and support patient care.
Greet and triage patients upon arrival.
Prepare examination and procedure rooms and patients for physician visits.
Obtain patient histories, vital signs, height, and weight measurements.
Assist with physician examinations, procedures, and treatments.
Perform front- and back-office medical office tasks, including front-desk duties.
