About The Position

We have an immediate opening for a qualified Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist to fill a part-time position at our Atlanta, Georgia location. This is an exciting and challenging position with a practice that continues to grow. The ideal candidate will have excellent time management and organizational skills. This position requires independent judgment as well as the ability to work closely with a team of clinicians. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills; capable of multi-tasking and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment; computer and telephone skills required. Infertility and/or Women's Health experience is preferred. Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. with weekend and holiday rotation required. This role will be supporting the ultrasound department and supporting the clinical staff on Saturday and Sundays 7 a.m. - noon by drawing blood and assisting with IUI's.

Requirements

Phlebotomy certification with one year of experience is required.
High school diploma or GED required.
Successful completing of an 8 hour radiation safety course.

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant who completed course with diploma is highly preferred.
Infertility and/or Women's Health experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform HSGs (hysterosalpingograms) on M/W/F
Performs phlebotomy using proper technique and universal precautions.
Ensures lab specimens are sent to proper labs.
Documents patient care services utilizing daily logs, patient records, and appropriate outside laboratory forms.
Comforts patients by anticipating anxieties, answering questions, providing support.
