About The Position

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work full-time in their Outpatient Clinic in Salt Lake City. This role involves assisting with patient care under the supervision of the Outpatient Department Manager and physicians. Key duties include preparing for clinics, managing patient flow, gathering patient information, providing physical care, transcribing orders, assisting with casts, and maintaining room readiness. The pay range for this position is $20.47 - $30.70 per hour, with compensation based on experience and department equity.

Requirements

Medical Assistant Certification (within 6 months of hire)
Basic Life Support (within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant experience
Pediatric and Orthopedic experience
Cast removal skills
Bilingual

Responsibilities

Communicates information to patients, families & colleagues in a clear, concise & professional manner.
Responsible for prepping clinic in timely manner to be prepared for that days clinic.
Assures that all consult and lab results are available for the provider to review before patient is seen.
Assists provider with delivery of patient care tasks.
Rooms patients, sees new patients, hands out care coordination brochure, & manages clinic flow.
Will participate in on going education of DX and procedures to help with patient education and self knowledge.
Utilizes Epic to document relevant patient information in real time in the EMR.
