About The Position

The Medical Assistant supports efficient, timely patient care by assisting providers in the clinical setting and ensuring all ordered services are completed accurately and promptly. As part of the care team, this role delivers high-quality service to patients, families, and clinic visitors while working under the supervision of a physician.

Requirements

  • Supervision by a physician.
  • Ability to coordinate provider and clinic schedules.
  • Ability to greet, register, and direct patients and visitors.
  • Ability to monitor wait times and balance patient distribution.
  • Ability to review schedules for necessary documentation and results.
  • Ability to schedule follow-up appointments.
  • Ability to maintain patient files, records, and charts.

  • Ability to obtain vital signs, weights, and measurements.

  • Ability to document accurately in medical records.
  • Ability to enter ICD-9 codes and update the Problem List.
  • Ability to communicate relevant concerns or findings to providers.
  • Ability to perform supervised clinical procedures such as aerosol treatments and pulmonary function testing.
  • Ability to support a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to assist and cooperate with care team members.
