About The Position

Join UW Health's high-quality, patient and family-centered care team in pediatrics. This role involves working with pediatric and adolescent medicine physicians to provide comprehensive childcare from birth through adolescence. The Medical Assistant will deliver quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment, preparing patients for examination, obtaining vital signs, documenting chief complaints, medications, and allergies, and administering medications and treatments. The position also includes promoting healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program OR Licensure as an LPN OR Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program OR Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee OR Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated OR One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification
• Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required or Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required
• If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification Upon Hire Required
• CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN
