About The Position

USPI GCSA Ambulatory Surgery Center - Medical Center is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant/PCA to join their team. The center has 1 OR room and 3 Procedure rooms and performs outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology. The position requires weekdays only, with no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required, and the schedule is subject to change based on the surgical schedule and the flow of the day. The Medical Assistant/PCA maintains all endoscope equipment in a safe, efficient manner according to OSHA, SGNA, and manufacturer guidelines. They also maintain the work environment in keeping with infection control guidelines to promote quality patient care. This role functions within the philosophy, policies, and procedures of the ASC and represents the practice within and outside the organization. The Medical Assistant/PCA works cooperatively with all other staff members.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant/PCA certification or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA, SGNA, and manufacturer guidelines for endoscope equipment.
• Understanding of infection control guidelines.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members.
