This position is a hybrid between a Medical Assistant, Patient Services Assistant and Phlebotomist (MA/PSA/PHL) with direct patient care duties as well as a variety of administrative duties. The MA/PSA/PHL provides age-appropriate population specific patient care in a compassionate, caring, culturally and ethnically sensitive manner, by instituting practices that promote the organizations mission, vision and core values under the direction of the responsible Registered Nurse and Provider. The MA/PSA/PHL acts as a key member of the health care team ensuring that patients, providers and other team members receive prompt and professional service. To perform this job successfully, an individual must flexible as the role varies from day to day. The daily and weekly assignments are provided by the Practice Leader and/or Nurse Leader who determines the location and focus of work based on changing needs of the Health Centers.
