About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for ensuring high quality and continuity in the provision of comprehensive primary medical care services. The RMA/CMA is utilized in performing typical front and back office clinical functions. Responsible to perform duties related to checking patients in and out, scheduling patient appointments, call confirmations, verifying insurance while maintaining accuracy and compliance with departmental policies and State/Federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Vocational/Technical Medical Assistant degree (must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Previous front and back-office experience in a health clinic setting or equivalent experience
  • Currently Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver License
  • Knowledge of all areas related to clinic workflow
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task while providing good patient care
  • Good computer skills and ability to learn new computer systems as needed
  • Primary skills include verbal and written communication with patients to promote continuity of care and follow-up as well as daily retrieval and scanning/filing of clinical encounter forms and reports for use by clinic staff during patient care activities
  • Strong Computer Skills (MS Office Suite – specifically with Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Typing and data entry

Nice To Haves

  • Previous reception, scheduling, and medical records experience preferable
  • Experience with EPIC highly desirable
