About The Position

Newton-Wellesley Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for its Sports Medicine team. This role supports providers who care for athletes and active patients of all levels. The specialists provide outpatient surgical treatment for shoulder, knee, and ankle conditions. As part of a collaborative care team, the Medical Assistant will support patient visits, maintain clinical flow, and contribute to an excellent patient care experience. This is an opportunity to build a clinical career in a fast-paced, team-oriented sports medicine environment, working closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and fellow Medical Assistants.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy, fast-paced clinical environment
Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through
Ability to comply with all local, state, and federal privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations
Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols
Comfort using electronic health record systems and medical office software
Strong time management, problem-solving, and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
Certified Medical Assistant credential preferred
0–1 year of direct Medical Assistant experience or medical field experience preferred
