Medical Assistant – Organ Transplant - Green Hospital

About The Position
This is a full-time benefited position working 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Organ Transplant team provides hope to patients and is a part of their second chance at life. The role functions in a high volume clinic that sees 45-60 patients per day, supporting 8 Providers. Primary responsibilities include assisting with procedures, rooming patients, checking vital signs, and providing customer service to our patients over the phone for call backs and instructions.
Requirements
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
- BLS required in clinical setting for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience as a MA in an outpatient setting
- Experience in assisting with procedures such as biopsies, stent removals, and staple removals
Responsibilities
