About The Position

As a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day. As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will welcome patients and support their transition into care. You will take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings. You will prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures. You will administer medications and vaccines as directed. You will perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing. You will document care accurately in the electronic health record. You will partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

Requirements

  • LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
  • MA: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.
  • MA: GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.
  • LPN: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing.
