Medical Assistant or LPN - Gastro Clinic (FT) Days
About The Position
Adena Health is hiring a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its Gastroenterology clinic in Chillicothe, Ohio. This full-time role is part of a collaborative clinical team and supports providers with daily clinic operations and patient care. The schedule is 36 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hourly pay is based on years of experience and education. The role includes preparing patients for clinic visits and endoscopic procedures, supporting patient relationships, and coordinating clinical workflows. Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in a medical office or similar capacity.
- For candidates acting in the Scribe role, 1–2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
Nice To Haves
- Medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities
- Assist providers with daily clinical operations.
- Room patients and obtain vital signs and medical histories.
- Reconcile medications and document information in the electronic medical record.
- Provide patient education.
- Process prescription refill requests.
- Coordinate referrals and diagnostic testing.
- Prepare patients for clinic visits and endoscopic procedures.
- Perform telephone triage.
- Provide scheduling support and assist with registration workflows.
- Maintain clinical supplies.
- Follow infection prevention practices.
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members.
