Medical Assistant or LPN - Outpatient Clinic
About The Position
Health First Medical Group is Brevard County's largest multi-specialty physician group, providing outpatient care across Primary Care, Cardiology, Oncology, Orthopedics, Women's Care, and other specialties. Medical Assistants or LPNs work alongside providers and clinical teams to support an exceptional patient experience. The role includes patient intake, clinical support, patient education, and care coordination to help patients feel informed and supported throughout their care. Opportunities are available in OB/GYN, Primary Care, Orthopedics/Podiatry, ENT, Oncology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, and Neurosurgery, at locations in Cape Canaveral, Rockledge, Viera, Melbourne, and Palm Bay. Clinic schedules are generally Monday through Friday, with listed shift times of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Requirements
- For Medical Assistant: completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or a high school diploma and six months of clinical experience.
- For Medical Assistant: ability to obtain and maintain an accepted Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification within six months of hire.
- Current BLS certification.
- For LPN: graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) program.
- For LPN: current Florida LPN license.
Responsibilities
- Support providers and clinical teams in delivering patient care.
- Perform patient intake and provide clinical support.
- Educate patients and assist with care coordination.
