About The Position

Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. Medical Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses must adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. They are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion during all interactions.

Actual compensation offered in the Pay Range of $21.85- $32.80 for an MA or $24.10 - $36.15 for an LPN and will be based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience and/or training.

About This Location: Our experienced team of physicians and specialists can diagnose and treat all types of brain, spine and neurological conditions. Led by a multidisciplinary team of specialists, we diagnose and treat brain, spine and nervous system conditions that include a wide variety of movement, memory, neuromuscular and nerve disorders. From pain management specialists and therapists to neurologists and neurosurgeons, our experts work closely together for the best possible health outcomes. This multidisciplinary approach addresses the full scope of each patient's specific needs at every step of their health journey. We manage diagnosis, treatment and ongoing support together as part of a comprehensive care plan. With access to the latest tools and technological advancements, our brain, spine and neurology teams can treat even the most complex cases. We take a compassionate, integrated approach and put nonsurgical methods, such as physical therapy, first. And our surgical procedures are minimally invasive whenever possible to allow for shorter hospital stays and faster recoveries.

Requirements

• LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.
• MA: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.
• GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.
• LPN: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing
• MA: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
