This full-time position is located in the Gastroenterology clinic in Chillicothe, OH, and offers a Monday-Friday work schedule from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., promoting a healthy work-life balance. Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience in medical office or similar capacity.
  • 1-2 years experience in similar capacity if acting in the Scribe role.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical office experience preferred.
  • Direct patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting providers with daily clinical operations including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, medication reconciliation, documenting in the electronic medical record, patient education, processing prescription refill requests, coordinating referrals and diagnostic testing, and preparing patients for clinic visits and endoscopic procedures.
  • Telephone triage
  • Scheduling support
  • Registration workflow
  • Maintaining clinical supplies
  • Infection prevention practices
  • Collaboration with providers and interdisciplinary team members
