As a Medical Assistant on this team, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, families, and visitors. Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff, you will support medication management, patient monitoring, and a variety of clinical and office tasks. This position offers broad clinical exposure through hands-on involvement in patient care, compliance, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams. With a strong emphasis on professional development, this role provides an excellent foundation for expanding your healthcare knowledge and skills, making it a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for long-term growth. The Medical Assistant will be assigned to a primary area within this department but is expected to float to other areas within the department as needed, based on scheduling and clinic demands. A caregiver in this position works from 7:30 a.m. -- 4:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program (As designated by the Enterprise MA Steering Committee) OR Military training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered
  • Completion of a clinical externship (Extensive clinical experience may be considered in lieu of formal clinical externship)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (within new hire period)
  • Current demonstrated clinical proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Assist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas.
  • Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
