About The Position

Sentara MJH MJ Medical and Surgical Associates is seeking a Medical Assistant-non-certified in Charlottesville, VA! This role involves performing patient care and administrative and clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The position is Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional floating as needed.

Requirements

• One year of clinical/administrative experience required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
• Certification must be received within (9) nine months of employment in one of the following certification programs: CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or CMA- Certified Medical Assistant or RMA- Registered Medical Assistant or EMT- Emergency Medical Technician

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy experience preferred
