About The Position

This role involves assisting with direct patient care procedures and related tasks, including obtaining patient histories, performing metabolic profiles, and other assigned duties. The Medical Assistant will obtain vital signs, height, and weight for clients on the inpatient unit as directed by the LPN/RN. They will provide frequent rounding on clients and address/report client needs to the LPN/RN. The position requires performing UDS/HCG testing adhering to CLIA standards and maintaining accurate inventory of medicines and medical supplies. Under direct orders from the medical provider, the Medical Assistant will supervise self-administered client medication or perform medication administration based on specific clinical program protocols. Responsibilities also include scheduling and monitoring medication clinic appointments, authorizing drug refills, and scheduling outside medical appointments for clients. The role requires obtaining necessary medical information, maintaining current and accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and licensure standards. Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • One year working as a Medical Assistant in a licensed healthcare facility

Responsibilities
