About The Position

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Medical Assistant to join our Neurology team! The Medical Assistant supports our providers by performing a variety of clinical duties to ensure efficient patient care and smooth daily operations. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, maintaining accurate medical records, assisting with procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety, privacy and clinical protocols. The Medical Assistant serves as a key liaison between patients and the healthcare team, delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced medical environment.

Requirements

Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
Strong clinical and human relations skills.
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the AAMA.
Basic computer/keyboarding/mouse skills required.
Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.
Safely and effectively operate the following: Various Health Testing Equipment (depending upon specialty area), Personal Computer, Photocopier, Printer, FAX Machine, and Telephone.
