About The Position

We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to provide quality care in a compassionate environment where teamwork is highly valued, and exceptionalism and innovation are encouraged. This role involves caring for patients of all ages and assisting with the setup of various in-clinic procedures. The Medical Assistant will perform a variety of patient care duties including taking vital signs, reviewing medications and allergies, and handling medication refills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or
• Licensure as an LPN or
• Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or
• Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee or
• Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated or
• One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification
• Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required or
• Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required
• If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification Upon Hire Required
• CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN
