About The Position

Mission Mobile Medical is growing fast—and we’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant/Operator to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our patients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the mobile clinic to various locations, setting up clinic at the sites, assisting with patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic on wheels. This role combines clinical duties with the unique responsibility of managing a mobile healthcare unit.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software
  • CPR/First Aid Certification required.
  • Able and willing to provide world-class service to all stakeholders
  • Understanding of community health needs, specifically in underserved populations
  • Demonstrated strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends as needed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing 15+ lbs throughout the workday

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive and operate the mobile medical clinic to designated locations
  • Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, clean, and stocked with necessary medical supplies
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections daily
  • Assist the provider with examinations and procedures
  • Collect and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.)
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by a provider
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
  • Assist with patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance documentation, and billing processes
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are properly sanitized
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations per the state of Missouri
  • Participate in community outreach events to promote community engagement with the mobile clinic program
