Job Description We’re currently seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA) to join our Occupational Health and Rehabilitation department. This is a dual role that required both clinical and admin duties.
Requirements
- Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic or Medic Certification OR relative experience as outlined below.
- In lieu of education requirement, at least one year of experience in direct patient care (acute or ambulatory space) may be considered.
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for a variety of patient care functions under the direction of physicians and mid-level providers.
- Greets & escorts patient to exam room.
- Obtains & records vital signs into the Electronic Medical Record.
- Maintains a safe & clean environment for the patient.
- Maintains equipment & supplies.
- Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with patients, families & coworkers.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
