About The Position

A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Pulmonology for North Alabama Shoals Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health. This role is vital in supporting the mission of making communities healthier. Requirements

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• High School diploma
• Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 60 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• CCMA, CMA or RMA Preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
