About The Position

Jackson Purchase Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) for their Podiatry department. This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm. The role involves performing routine clinical and administrative duties to support the assigned area or office. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for taking vital signs, documenting patient history, updating electronic health records (EHR), assisting providers with exams and procedures, administering medications or injections, performing basic lab tasks, preparing specimens, and maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms. Additionally, the role includes supporting front office functions such as scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education.

Requirements

• CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification required
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant is required.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.

• Perform basic lab tasks, prepare specimens, and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms
