Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NRCMA, or CCMA) – Required at time of hire and must be maintained.
  • Current BLS Certification (or ability to obtain before starting).
  • Knowledge of POCT, Immunizations, and Injections
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills
  • Excellent Organization & Time Management
  • Customer Service Rockstar
  • Comfortable with Microsoft applications and EMR systems.
  • Graduation from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
  • Current license as a practical nurse in the State of Missouri.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BCLS).

Nice To Haves

  • Radiology Certification (if applicable) – If the role requires X-ray functions, you must have radiology training from your MA program or a validated competency checklist.

Responsibilities

  • Prep charts, check vitals, and set the stage for great care!
  • Administer meds, give immunizations, and collect specimens.
  • Assist with minor procedures like wound care, suture removal, and more.
  • Keep patient records up to date in our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Support providers, participate in team huddles, and help keep the clinic running like a well-oiled machine.
  • Help patients understand their treatment plans, new medications, and follow-up care.
  • Perform patient assessments, collect important data, and document the care you provide with precision and attention to detail.
  • Ensure medications and treatments are properly administered and documented, following all necessary protocols.
  • Work alongside a dedicated healthcare team to support patients and ensure they’re receiving the best care possible.
  • Perform all duties in alignment with the Missouri State Board of Nurse Practice Act to ensure top-notch, safe care for every patient.
