About The Position

Marquette Physician Practice Neurosurgery is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) for a full-time position. This role is crucial in providing direct and individualized care to clinic patients, performing basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection, monitoring patient conditions, and documenting care. The Medical Assistant will also be responsible for maintaining equipment and medical supplies, as well as performing administrative and clerical duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration. This is a fast-paced, busy clinic environment within a large group of physicians.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Nice To Haves

• One-year related experience, preferred.
• One year clinic experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and individualized care to clinic patients.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning and troubleshooting.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
