Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. About This Location: The Aurora Abdominal Transplant clinic at the Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center provides comprehensive, life-long care for patients navigating kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants, as well as complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases. In this highly specialized, fast-paced outpatient setting, team members work alongside a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, hepatologists, and transplant coordinators and everyone plays a critical role in both pre-transplant evaluations and vital post-operative monitoring. The clinic is located within the main hospital building on the 5th floor of the Galleria wing within the main campus structure at 2900 W Oklahoma Ave. Your feedback matters. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
- Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
