About The Position

Medical Assistants and/or Licensed Vocational Nurses perform duties under the supervision of a physician. They interview patients and prepare them for provider exams and treatment, measure vital signs and record information in the EHR system. They also prepare treatment rooms for examinations, assist the physician with procedures, and clean and sterilize instruments. Additionally, they administer injections to patients, coordinate discharge planning, and follow up on patient care.

Requirements

High School Education or equivalent
Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent years of experience or Current Licensure with The Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners
Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of employees, management, visitors and outside sources
Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current insurance coverage
