Primary Responsibilities: Prepare examination rooms and sterilizing equipment Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKG’s Administer injections and collect specimens Document patient care using NextGen electronic medical record software Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with minor, in-office procedures You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

  • High school education or GED equivalent
  • Graduated from an accredited MA program
  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) or you must be willing to attain that certification within 9 months of the start date

Nice To Haves

  • EMR/EHR experience
  • Experience with Epic medical records software
  • Experience with medical front office and back-office duties including vitals, injections, administering medications, referrals, prior authorizations, and insurance verifications
