This role is responsible for delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, and documentation. The Medical Assistant/ LPN will assist with various procedures, exams, and diagnostic equipment, maintain aseptic techniques, and administer medications and treatments under the direction of providers. Responsibilities also include preparing and organizing patient charts, communicating with patients about test results and care plans, scheduling procedures and surgeries, coordinating physician schedules, and ensuring insurance pre-certifications. The position requires maintaining patient confidentiality, educating patients and families, promoting evidence-based resources, and serving as a patient advocate. Additionally, the role involves assisting in training new colleagues, cross-covering in other clinic areas, documenting patient care plans, and ensuring safety checklists are completed. A working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and Trinity Health's policies is essential.
