About The Position

The Cook Family Health Center provides primary healthcare services for Bloomington-area Cook Group company employees and their families. The Medical Assistant at the Cook Family Health Center provides high-quality patient care by supporting providers and patients through various tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology required
• 1-2 years required technician experience in medical office environment; primary care preferred
• Current CMA or LPN preferred
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience
• Previous multi-line phone & customer service experience

Responsibilities

• Must be available evenings until 6pm and rotating Saturday's until 12:30p
• Patient Intake & Assisting Provider
• Setting up equipment and assisting during exams and procedures
• Collecting lab specimens
• Phlebotomy
• Patient Education & Communication
• Administer medication/Injections
• Schedule outside appointments
• Order stock
• Manage disposal of biohazards
• Electrocardiogram
• Sterile technique
• Clean and stock exam rooms/lab
• Electronic Health Records data entry
