About The Position

Memorial Hermann, in partnership with GoHealth Urgent Care, is seeking a Medical Assistant with Limited X-Ray (LMRT) certification to join their team in the Greater Houston area. This role involves supporting Medical Providers and Radiologic Technologists by managing patient care, organization, and communication. A key responsibility is performing limited capacity x-rays and reporting results. The Medical Assistant will ensure all tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and with high quality, contributing to the company's vision of becoming the urgent care partner of choice by redefining value and access to quality care. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) Program required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire.
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Social perceptiveness and service-oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant experience preferred.
  • Experience performing X-rays preferred.
  • CCMA - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National Health career Association).
  • CMA - Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistant).
  • RMA - Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists).
  • NCMA - National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing).
  • NRCMA – Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals).

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologist, and patients.
  • Manage patient care, organization, and communication.
  • Perform limited capacity x-rays for patients.
  • Report x-ray results to Medical Providers.
  • Complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.
